International
Mining (IM), published and edited by John Chadwick, is the leading
global technical publication for mining industry management. It
covers the full spectrum of the world's extractive industries
from exploration through mining and processing to metallurgy and
the finished products. It covers the techniques and technologies
required to recover all metals, coal, diamonds and industrial
minerals. Its focus is technical, bringing readers important news
of new technologies, methods and thinking. The magazine also provides
a global overview of which mining company (large or small) is
doing what where.
IM
burst onto the scene in 1984 as the cutting edge magazine written
by miners for miners. Many of the original team then relaunched
the magazine in September 2005, with another 20 years of mining
experience under their belts. IM was born, and reborn, from
a desire for something better for mine management to read. A
grassroots approach was needed to provide valuable and applicable
technical information to those responsible for the efficient
and effective exploration and operation of the world's mines,
processing plants and metallurgical facilities. IM returned
with the best network of committed mining professionals. IM's
editorial calls on an array of experts with the kind of intimate
knowledge of mining that only comes with hands-on experience
in many aspects of the field.
